Whistling noise

My truck has started making a new whistling noise very similar to the sound of a pressure cooker. From the drivers seat it seems to be coming from around the air filter. The odd part is it seems to only do it when cold and only ~1,600 rpm. I can see I have an exhaust leak on the DS so I am thinking that may be the culprit and it only does it when cold because the EBV is on.

Any other possible causes I should investigate?

They EBPV will cause some pretty unusual noises
