Where is the spring?

Many times I hear some say to be carefull when removing the zf- trannny cover because there is a spring that can fall and you can't get it out. I have removed that cover several times but never seen said spring anyone have pics of it?

From the exploded view I have you have to deal with it when you take off the housing in your second pic. Doesn't really give a good indication as to it's actual placement though.

EZ, Click Here (from our FAQ) and scroll down to the exploded diagram. The parts that can fall into the tranny are numbers 13 and 14, and sit on the top deck under the shifter cover.
