So I finally took the new to me travel trailer out for it’s maiden voyage. The tow vehicle was my ‘88 e250 NA 7.3 with a c6 and 3.54s. Maintenance is good, but the IP/injectors need replaced. Overall it did well. Cruises along at 65mph most of the way. It did slow down to about 60mph going up large hills with a 15mph head wind. I could have kept 65mph, but my EGTs would have been hitting the 1100-1200* mark to do so. Coolant temps stayed between 200-205*. Trans never made it above 170*. Of course the outside temps were in the 45-55* range so I am sure that helped keep temps down.
Hoping to install the turbo kit I have sitting in my garage sometime in the next month or so and then go tackle some big hills/mountains with the trailer in tow.
