Where does your ground cable go from the passenger side battery? Mine goes to the valve cover....is that right?

completely incorrect
it goes on the opposite side of where the drivers side negative cable goes,
far left hand bottom corner,
behind the clamp of the positive cable.
like a 19 mm bolt behind the 12v+ cable hold down... maybe 18mm

On front of block just above pan..there is a large bolt with a brace and the sleeve on the positive cable. The negativ attaches there!

I thought my alternator went out but it turned out to be my voltage regulator. I got a new one and still have a battery light on. Had both checked and alternator was good but regulator was bad....I'm thinking that ground has something to do with it....

If you think the ground is faulty, simply hold a ground wire on the voltage regulator case (assuming it is new and shiny). You can always pull the plug off the regulator, and full field the alternator with a jumper wire to make sure it is not a wiring issue.
