I was reading that you can advance the IP on the 6.9, i was wondering what kinda of gains is a guy looking to get? Im thinking is it like when you put timing to a 12 Valve?

Well, I don't think it would respond like a 12V Cummins, but advancing the timing is good to a point. As long as you don't go beyond 10.5* BTDC more advanced is probably better.

Ideally about 9.6 deg gets your engine back to functioning on the new fuel , where it did at 8.5 deg on the old fuel. It will get your power back and bring your fuel mileage that went in the toilet at the fuel change, back up to where it was before ( a little better in some cases )

Just remember, too much timing advance will eat your glow plugs.
