Have you checked if the throttle cable is resting on the #8 injector line? It will cause a tick.
Ticking coming from exhaust...?

Throttle cable wasnt hooked up at the time and the tapping is coming directly from the exhaust pipe. The sound moved back as I installed the exhaust on the truck. I think I'll have a set of heads coming my way tomorrow. Will know for sure by tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the input guys...
Now its up in the air whether or not I should stud it now or wait. I really dont have the extra money right now and its going to be a long while before I put anything more then a stock 093 on this engine... but I dont like doing work twice either.

Allen's Fasteners is the cheapest I've found for studs. Or R&D if they've got them in stock. I got mine from Allen's, really good service
