Most of you guys are unaware of project Igor. I've been accumulating parts for over seven years to put together my own Cummins into a Ford conversion. If you're reading this, it is because you're into doing such a job and want to learn from others mistakes and go from there. Well, this is one of them. I bought the ZF5 trans, clutch kit and adapter plate from another member here. He abandoned this part of the project due to one wrong part and wanting to put in a heavier duty trans for sled pulling in his future. Igor won't be pulling sleds, so the ZF will do just fine. This is the part you need to pay attention to. You cannot use a curved face throwout bearing on a curved fingered clutch. the same no-no applies to a flat face throwout bearing on a flat faced clutch. I'll let the photos illustrate what I am describing. The flat faced throwout bearing was able to be sourced from the folks at South Bend Clutch. the curved finger pressure plate is OEM dodge as well as the flywheel. The clutch disc is OEM Ford ZF.
