So I found my muffler today down on the corner a block away where stupid FedEx kid dropped it off last Saturday at the wrong address. This should have a *********** sound, whoooaaa.
Someone on here had the link to it on Ebay. Here she is. $45.99 + $15 Ship from "Thunder Diesel & Performance" Nice people to deal with. Just gotta get it on now. It's 6" in diameter and for me 3.5" in/out, only a foot long total. Order any inlet/outlet size you want to fit yours. 3rd pic is the inlet. Made out of heavy metal. Gonna paint it black with Hi temp for rust.

Interested in hearing the new sound. Is it going on turbo or N/A? and what do you currently run?

The 99 PSD is my DD, run the crap out of it. Run it with a 40-60-80 HP S&P Preformance module. In 80, rolls coal and 5G's back thrust with the skinny peddle to WOT, spin the duallies on blacktop.

That one is going on my 99 turboed PSD. If it sounds good and not too loud I will get two more for my 90 IDI N/A and the 92 IDI turbo. Will make a video and post it on utube and here.

I bought the same muffler just 4" and put it on ricer style. Here is what it sounds like.

Finely got mine on. Went to take a video and as Murphy would have it the damn camera battery died, won't charge up, funeral will be in 10 minutes. Sounds the same, whistle and all. With just a little throttle I get 5# boost now from a stop light where I didn't get any boost before, tromping it a little, the boost is up to 15# real quick. I would recommend this muffler to anyone in place of an OEM muffler or wherever an inspection is required, even on a straight pipe, nice whistle sound.

Update took it to get inspected with it at the end and it was denied. DNot think they liked that it was just put on the exhaust.

So now I'm actually going to mount it (backwards) between the tailpipe and Dow pipe someplace.

I had always heard that the openings in the louvers inside should face toward the rear. Has to do with sound absorption and flow. Having them face forward will cause turbulence and back pressure. Might be worth looking into a little deeper :dunno

I would think that facing forward it would absorb more sound. Mine will be installed backwards.

Or are you just kidding LOL?

Is that the reason they gave for denying it? That it was at the end of the exhaust? If so that's lame considering all the ricers have theirs at the end.
