Well with camping season here the wife was talking about The Dewey. She says those seats aren't very comfy; why don't you just buy a newer truck. 
So I must confess I did think about it and even did a search or two but man!!!! Prices are still pretty insane and I kinda like not having a payment! 
Sooooooo I said why don't I fix up the truck and spend some money and then I still have no payment! I'll put some new seats etc etc etc. Well here it is as it sits today....hopefully she's going for paint on Monday. Got a bunch of stuff from LMC coming already; some stuff from Ebay coming and hopefully some seats from....ahh I can't remember the name of it....one of the folks on here bought seats from them....truck and RV seats or something. I'm at work and I got the link saved at home....So long story a little shorter....The Dewey lives to see alot more days! I don't think I could ever sell her anyways...I kinda like that old truck and her flat face and I've done too much stuff to her and I'd have to do it all over again to a new truck....of course some of the stuff comes standard on newer trucks...hmmm. The first pic is what she looked like shortly after I first bought her...well after much elbow grease cleaning and polishing. And no she's a true southern truck no bondo!! The primer was where I had to sand to bare metal....those stickers were a b%*ch to get off!!

. What color are You painting it?
...I loth making payments and you just can't fix the new ones 1/2 as cheap as these old Fords....Not to mention there is more steel in one door on my 91 than there is in 1/2 of a new truck.
I haven't worked with fiberglass since I was 15 and fixing up my old boats. I had to add a little more glass tonight and also removed the air horns from the roof. Went pretty easily. I think I've pretty much got all the little problems fixed up and I'll now have the whole weekend to clean it and do a final sanding before paint. Oh yah the color is a '07 - '09 Ford Sterling Grey. It is a slightly darker charcoal grey than it is now. Has a little more black in it in my opinion. 
Yes it will be done in time that's for sure but as you know we won't be making the trip this year...(dang it)...I haven't even been reading the posts about the rally cus it sounds like it's going to be awesome!! I couldn't bear to read about it anymore! Looks like you're doing an awesome job with all the activities and such!! I look forward to living it vicariously through all the pics and hopefully video - hint hint Darrin!
