No I took a foreman position to further my career. So at least for now I’m in Seattle area.
Got a few things done this weekend. Got the broken and stuck injector body out.
I absolutely hate that the machine shop didn’t do it when they were rebuilding the heads. I didn’t notice it and set the heads aside over a year ago and didn’t even look at them after picking them up. Anyways got it out, cleaned all the carbon out.
Got the r&d rails, stage 1 injectors and valley pan on.
Dropped off intake, ats air box and valve covers off to be blasted so I can cerakote them.

Little update it’s been hard to work on it with my now previous employer taking me 9hrs from home .
But as I say in the hotels after work I just couldn’t sleep with the fact I was putting used pistons back into my build. So with some effort and the swipe of a card, a brand new set of Mahle pistons came in and went in.
Plus I forgot that I had already bought the type4 cam when I bought Justin’s cam. So I have a brand new type4 cam for sale (willing to ship) and a set of used standard 4.110 turbo pistons.
Got it set in place and final torque.
Also got my 38 gallon f26 tank in. Slapped a FASS fuel straw in.

Took a good bit of the afternoon to get most of the heat/sound insulation in, I’ve got some more for the fenders (to not sound tinny) I know some peoples opinion on this stuff, the only difference is this particular product I get to see first hand everyday at work on tugboats. So I know this particular one is fine.
I plan on adding some to the roof as well as a strip inside the doors to help with road noise and the sun passing heat through.

Nice. I put 2 layers on the roof 2 on the floor 3 on the fire wall and 1 in all the doors as much as I can get my hands into. Love it. It works great. Used it for years. Keeps things cooler and warmer and quieter and less rattles. And I live the way the doors close solid
What brand heat/sound insulation did you go with and where did you get it?

Pro tip
If you want to set the engine complete with turbo setup and trans on….
Just pull the front cab mounts jack it up about a 2x4 width, stick said 2x4 in the space and holy cow it slides right in.
Thankfully I put in new cab mounts right before I slid it in place

What a Memorial Day weekend.
Got a new long reach jack (killer thing lifts nearly 26”)
Got stuck in the mud hole instead of doing the things I needed to. Then spent WAY to long getting out
Got some brackets back on before hitting the hay from a long weekend away.
Man after being away it just makes me jazzed to work on this thing again and get it buttoned up.
