Since I've owned my truck the t-case shifter starts to rattle/hum at about 2400-2500 RPMs and I have read the recall/TSB notice regarding this issue. From what I have read the "official" fix was a new shifter but that seems excessive. I found one fix here where a member suggested slightly prying on the mechanism from under the vehicle until a small pin no longer makes contact with the t-case housing. Sounds easy but I tend to be cautious when it comes to "use a bigger hammer" type fixes. What fixes have you guys had success with? The rattle gets annoying and I'm worried I'll blow my speakers if I turn 'em up any louder!! Thanks in advance.
