Since we are talking about sound deadening, I picked up a hot tip from one of the hot rod boards the other day, they say this stuff from Lowes

Works just as good as the more expensive Dynamat stuff for sound deadening.

I had a friend years ago that had a '72 nova.. no carpet no insulation.. a built 350 and a rebuilt M-22 4 speed.... you couldn't cary on a conversation at a normal voice level.
Insulation plays a very important role in sound deadening.

The Fat Mat I used works better than Dynamat in my opinion because its the same but 1/3 the cost. I saw Darrin Tosh use it and tried it myself. A double layer on everything but the roof was all I needed. Can't remove the head liner in a crewcab alone or with friends. It will end up damaged. The front windshield needs to be removed for it to be safely removed and installed.
