When I did my motor swap I also took the tilt steering column from the donor truck.
That truck was set up to start by using a push button.

The key switch from the original column works and came out pretty easily but the switch in the tilt column is stuck.

I turn the key to the 'on' position, push in the lock pin and try to pull the switch, but no luck. It only comes out about 1/16th of an inch.
I've wiggled, jiggled, twisted and gently pried but still no luck.
Any ideas folks?

I pried it a bit harder and finally got it out.
The tab at the bottom end of the key cylinder has some metal shaved off of it.
Looking into the hole in the steering column you can see that it's turned slightly counter clockwise from where it should be.
Is there a way to correct that?

Anyway, I had to tap the new cylinder down to get it to seat. But it's still not activating the starter solenoid.

Looks like I'll have to try the ignition switch on the column next.
Can those be adjusted or should i just replace it?
