Is there a company that makes a direct fit brakeline set? I had one blow apart again, I think its time to fix it right.
This mis-matching could very well cause some frustrating situations, when someone assumes that all are the same, and gets a truck all apart, only to find they have the wrong brake-lines.I received my new set of braided stainless D.O.T. approved brake-lines from Classic Tube.
I went ahead and "deluxed" them with the clear vinyl covering.
Three hoses, custom lengths, vinyl covering, shipping, all came to $130.
I haven't attacked the fronts; but, I had the rear up on the ramps, for another chore, so I went ahead and installed the rear line.
It was far harder to remove the old, than it was to install the new.
One puzzling situation came to my attention.
Although the wrench fittings are all 7/16" wrench size, the right-side brake-line, on the axle, is a smaller thread-size than the left side.
Also, the top of the hose fitting, where the line coming down through the truck-frame screws into the hose, is the same smaller thread-size as the right line.
Why are they not all the same size??

I will get the fronts installed and post the results.
, set the grass afire, and near ground a hole in a shock reservoir, before the clips would catch in the groove.
