Went to PNP yesterday to pull the peddle assembly off a 81 F-150.
Peddles from 80 - 86 are all the same, F-150 to F-350.
This one was set up for manual linkage.
Only difference is the little lever going to the Clutch MC is longer, just need to change it.
$47.79 out the door. see prices on E-Bay $150 - $300.
Couple weeks before, pulled a good Bumper off same truck and one off a 86 F-250. prices sure have gone up, use to be bumpers, Doors, Hoods and Fenders were $50, now almost $100 ea.
They use to have 1/2 price sales once in a while, $25 for ea one was great. OH now a complete door doesn`t include the Hinges like it use to be.... and they charge if the Hood pad is still attached. Just what we need an oil soaked raggedy pad.
The Bumper off the 81 has a rubber Air Dam across the lower edge, should increase my mileage.....? Right?
Couple weeks back Daughter and family wanted up to go camping with them to Diamond Lake, OR. up near Crater Lake.
The 86 ran great up and back, 400 miles ea way.
Once past Reno going north on 395 and past that mass of humanity and cluster F--- of freeways, it opens up to great 2 lane mountain driving all the way to Susanville, Ca. the through Klamath Falls Or.
Getting truck ready for the trip and discover the Wipers don`t work. Fuses check out ok.. oh well, Rain X`d the windows and off we went. Either switch or Motor, think I will just change both as old the truck is. Chicom parts are what`s available, is what it is.
Had to haul the Kioti CK-30 Tractor to the dealer a few weeks back, they had it 3 weeks to take care of a Hyd leak, replace the leaky seals on front axle. Check why the Bucket and lift arms slowly come down. Had all 4 Rams rebuilt last year. Tell me all is good and according to kioti, dropping 12" per hour is acceptable.... Want to use the Tractor to pull and engine, can`t have it drifting down ....that`s BS.
I have a 22ft Flat Deck Trailer, weighs 2700 lbs, plus the 12K lb Winch, binders and chain etc.... sure makes the old 86 grunt
along with the tractor.
Think we had 160 - 170 Horses under the Hood when new, think 1/2 have gone out to pasture.....

Changed the oil and unstuck my front right caliper. @Jesus Freak got a po box I can drop ship this used oil to......?

Just ordered a 3 pod gauge set up for the wind shield post.
I searched for one but seam`d like only the 2 gauge pods were available.
Glow Shift now has them for the Bull Nose trucks.
$74.99 free ship total with tax $80.31.
Have a water temp, oil and vacuum gauge to install.
Picked up a Wiper motor and Wiper switch from O`Really`s last night. Dang $80 for the Motor? see them on Amazon for $37, probably same thing.
Woda bought Amazon but leaving in 2 weeks for Corpus Cristy, Tx.
and don`t want wait for shipping to get here.
Hoping it is just the switch.
All the fuses check out good, don`t know which one is for the Wipers as it isn`t listed on the plastic cover.

I'm glad to see this. I ordered a triple gauge pillar mount for a OBS. Then I cut off the top and bottom so that just the gauge part was left. I used some short screws to mount it to the original trim piece. Not pretty, but it works. Thanks to MacRobb for the idea, even though he doesn't get on here any more.

Boxed Oil, that`s a new one, kind of like Boxed Wine.
Looks like it has a faucet thingy on it. Wonder how much oil
you can`t get out of it? Always residual in a container.
I have a bunch of the Walmart 2 gallon jugs. One I use to drain
oil into when I empty a bottle. Amazing how much oil adds up
draining them. Other wise it gets into a Land Fill, Often wondered
how many thousand gallons of oil is buried all across the Country
every year?
When I had a JJJJob, dang that is a dirty word, and did a lot of
commuting, I could accumulate a gallon of oil by draining them
in a year.

Getting the truck ready for the trip to Corpus Cristy, Tx. in 3 weeks.
Truck is sitting in Sick Bay till the new Wiper Motor get here. Hood &
Cowel are off, guess I could drive it to show off my mighty horse power...
.
Need to take a run to the feed Store.
I have 2 set of Studded Tires. one set is 4 years old, decided to remove
the Studs and run them on the front end.
Worked on one tire yesterday afternoon, it`s work getting them pulled.
I did 2 other tires a few years ago, read to spray on soapy water etc... and
it worked good. I might need a heavier soap solution on these tires.
But these studs are really in there tight. Besides the soap, tried WD-40 then Kroil.
just a lil squirt. Seems kroil worked the best. The end is like a nail head.
Then a narrow Screw Driver at an angle to get under the Stud and pry it out.
I modified one, ground the sides down, and the 2 flat sides and ground a "V"
in the end thinking the 2 pokies would grab the edge. Modified it several times.
I was "Tired out" when done with that tire.
Do the 2nd tire today.
