I cut the inside bottom corners of the front bumper off.
The new tires were rubbing on something. It took me a while to figure out what.
There were no rub marks on the tires, and I couldn't find any rub marks inside the wheel wells.
Today, I was swinging the tires back and forth, looking for the rub... And saw that the tires come awful close to the inside bottom corner of the bumper.
In this pic, in fact it looks like they are touching.

I had a choice of either cutting the bumper on the green line, or cutting the corner off all the pieces of tread that ring the outside of the tire. (The little yellow triangle.) I chose to cut the bumper.
Here is what it looked like afterward. You can't see as well, because the sunlight is no longer behind it. But I took the pic as close to the same as the original pic, as I could get it.

You can't tell as well in the pic, but in person, it looks like that was the way the bumper came from the factory. Nothing unusual about it in person.
The black mark on the tire is from swinging the sledge. First thing I had tried was beating that corner of the bumper back. That didn't work.
Now, here is a comparo shot. The red in the insert shows how much of the bumper was cut away.

The bumper cut like butter with a hot knife. Rounded all the edges, and was done. That was easy!
And it doesn't rub at all, any more.
Next thing I think I'll work on is reinstalling the headlights. The clips I used when I replaced them, failed. I swear, those things, for as expensive as they were, seemed to be made out of 5 layers of tin foil, glued together. Only they would have been stronger because of the glue!
I found some new, stronger ones.
These are them:
