...and it was "overheating".

I yanked out the thermostat, and ran it....seemed to "overheat" still.

I found one coolant temperature sender, by the thermostat housing. So I unplugged it and my gauge now no longer says it is overheating. But my gauge STILl works just fine, and my computer HUD still reads my coolant temperature just fine.

So, I have two questions based on this. Why is the engine STILL running at 190*F with NO thermostat, and where might I find the second coolant temperature sensor?

I can not get the car hot, I have tried driving on city streets, driving on the highway normally, I even took it upto 110 MPH for a mile or so, and it will NOT get any warmer than 190*F even WITHOUT a thermostat.. Weird, eh?

The car is a 1998 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with the 3800 series II supercharged V6.

I plan on getting my hands on a Haynes manual ASAP!
