These fans are rated at 3000CFM on HIGH, they were available in the Cougars, early Taurus', and T-birds.

Pray tell, what year models did these come on ??

What is the diameter of the blades ??

I used to think that any Taurus with a 2.8 had the good fans, but I am seeing some Taurus fans that don't seem so good.

I know that some models of them had some really good fans. :dunno

What year-model is this Roadmaster ??

What years had this fan set-up ??

Thanks. ;Really

The ones I am sure are electric fan cooled are 94-5-6, I believe Cheby Caprice classic in the same year were set up the same. With all the options Id think they stand a good chance of doing the job. It would seem a Gas V8 would run hotter idiling than a deisel ford :).

That would also be my thoughts.

A gas-burner tends to over-heat when idling; whereas, the vast amount of air that a diesel intakes tends to bring their temperatures down quicker when idling than when shut down. ;Really

I'm very much considering an electric fan conversion in the near future, as the locked up fan that I run now makes a whole lot of noise at 2500 rpm where I normally cruise at with the C6 going 65 mph. I also think its partly whats keeping my mpg's low.

If I had an overdrive and ran less than 2k rpms, I'd keep it on there.
