Loving my new starter, new not rebuilt, yay. Anyways, still have the old one, still works, for now. It's short on life, maybe not even more than a few starts. It turns over really slow. Should I get it repaired, or should I put it up on the marketplace for dirt cheap? Not sure I need a starter laying around but... Have the fender solenoid too, which is fine but I replaced it at the same time.

Me, I would find a mom and pop shop to rebuild it. (Actually I would do it myself lol done it before.)
Never hurts to have a good spare. Could run into someone in need of one locally.

You rebuild it or have a mom N pop shop do it.. Nothing can happen to is sitting on the bench till needed. Just make sure its kept dry and wrapped up. Might also find some of those moisture bags we get when sensitive electrical equipment is shipped. If you suspect it has absorbed moisture just bake it in oven. Go to u tube to see how hot and how long. It wont wear out either.
