So a buddy of mine has this, he got a bigger one for his corvette. He said I can have it for $100.

Those of you who have installed one, will it fit? Is it big enough for the IDI?

Anything will be good for an IDI.

I haven't installed an intercooler on an IDI But thag doesnt look too big, compared to some I've seen installed.

The only issue is the one side inlet and outlet, you're going to have a crammed passenger side engine compartment.

I think it's a little bit on the small side. I think they should be about 27"x12"x3" at the smallest. I may be wrong on those numbers, but it should be bigger than this one.

How thick is it? I like the 7.3 intercoolers at 2" thick mostly to keep the condenser.

It's either 2-1/3 or 3 thick. I was thinking I could cut the bumper and use the plastic pieces from a powerstroke bumper and mount it behind the bumper?

I haven't looked for a 6.0 intercooler yet, I just saw it sitting in his garage and asked about it. Figured it was worth looking into either way.

Would probably be okay. The closest one I could find on the spearco/turbonetics website said 1050 CFM.

2 on 1 side? that's gonna be a pain to run tubes.
I have a similar one as above, and it does the job!

I've done plenty of reading, that's why I asked instead of saying "hey look at this cool new problem I have to solve" LOL

Thanks for the input guys. The tubes being on the same side is something I could have fixed for almost nothing at work but it sounds like it's still not quite a deal worth selling the farm so to speak.

If Brian says it's not worth it, it's not worth it. He'd just chop it up and make it fit if it was LOL
