my friend steve is new to the world of IDI's thanks to me, yep converted another to the IH side. ;Sweet he's only 17 so it's going to be slow going. He found it online about 40 minutes away, we went down and scoped it out, pretty solid '87 f250 6.9/435/??? case HD44/10.5 for $800. so we told the guy we'd be back to hear it run. the guy couldn't get it started and messed up the starter, so we got a junkyard starter, some fuel and headed down, the guy kept insisting "i don't see what you boys will do, i couldn't get it to stay running".... ok well i knew what was wrong, it was just running off what he poured in the filter and then it'd die. so we headed down in the travelette and with the trailer. i cut the feed line from the lift pump because the guy thought it was dead. then i siphoned the fuel from a tank we put on the cowl and hooked it up. charged the batteries for a bit, made sure fuel was in the returns and cranked it, it fought and stalled, checked lines, loose i/p feed line, try again, caught stumbled, bled a few injectors and it smooth right out to idle! :hail;Sweet then the fuel started spraying as the lift pump came to life.... cookoo, hooked up the line, fired right back up and drove it on the trailer. the guy was surprised we got it running! hahaha. it didn't smoke a bit and ran smooth, the odometer says 27xxx so i think it's 127 with how nice it ran. we got quite the looks hauling back the 'ol ford behind the travelette! LOL:D she needs some tlc, a return line kit and all new lines from lift pump to tank, some tail lights and a little elbow grease and it should make him a reliable truck for a long time.

Oh I'm sure it'll see trailer time inbetween for something. I love towing with my 40 year old iron, get on the highway set the cruise at 65-70 and let the 392 show it's strong point, gobs of torque...

He doesn't go online much. I'll tell him if he has time to try to get on here. Yea we chained her down and hitailed it before the guy could change his mind! Don't worry guys I'll get pics tonight, I was all fuel when we loaded it, then it was dark when we got back...

here it is! another thing it will need is radiator core support, where's the best place for one of those? also will need a cluch m/c and slave. the slave exploded and i'm sure the m/c is not far behind. i see on rock auto there is seperate listings for the both, but if you lookup '95 f-250 it shows 5 choices WITH the hose, the nylon on his is starting to crack. can i make the later model one work?

junkyard unless one of us is selling one. depending on where the damage is you might be able to use a gasser rad support to butcher and patch the old one.
