Wondering if this has been done before? My biggest concern issue would be if the V belt pulley will fit on the new SD pump shaft? I can get dimensiuon soff the new pump, coudl someone provide shaft dimensions off the old pump please?

Some of the van pumps were the good ones. Forget the pump name, same as the chevy's with hydro.
Easier to make fit a serpentine setup.

didnt take the pulley off my SD pump, however i measured a new C2 pump, the shank diameter is .685
i was getting around .675 or so for the SD pump jsut using the vernier and eyeballing. So-most likely it is the same diameter.
I hope it is not smaller as that will make installing the V belt pulley more difficult and i would have to make some kind of sleeve.

Might want to check the shaft with a metric caliper - I would not be too surprised if the idi pump is fractional inch (11/16" it looks like from your numbers) and the newer pump is a metric shaft.....
