I don't have a single vehicle I know the mileage on - even the 92-94 IDIs roll over at 399,999 miles to 300,000 - and both of mine are at 3xx,*** miles.
All of my earlier rigs, well, they've rolled at least once if not 2-3x.

When I'm buying an IDI, I don't even look at the odometer - Just assume that it's got 300K+ miles and look at how it /does/ - what's wrong and what looks clean/replaced, not how many miles it has.

Yes, starting in 92, with the release of the OBS Body Style (92-97), Ford started using the digital odometer. This introduced the 6th digit, to indicate the hundred thousands digit, but as stated, that digit only displays the number 1,2, or 3. It wasn’t until the release of the 99+ Super Duty body style, the 6 digit displays all numbers. I have seen 99+ trucks with nearly a million miles, and the first digit reads, 7,8 or 9. 91 and older all have a5 digit odometer, and roll every 100,000 miles. One thing I have noticed, once the odometer rolls 100,000 miles, the numbers don’t quite line up correctly. I’ve read this is by design.

The digital odometer will only be visible with the ignition key in the "on" position. The other style is visible all of the time since it's not electric.

Welcome!
My 94 has 140k, my 93 has 240k. Either 1 or 2 trips around that looks like a great truck [emoji7]

The numbers not lining up is interesting, I've never really noticed. Now I'm going to be OCD about it when I leave work in the morning and look at them all the time... Though I already know mines been around twice at least....
