He may need the oil pan for the replacement motor.
I don't give a crap about the block, I got a 3 & 5yr old that play around in the garage near my stuff despite numerous beatings & being told to stay away. I can't have it fall or roll over on one of them. Plus I'm a fat ******* & I ain't sitting on the damn floor to work on this POS.

well, my question is what causesthat to happen & how can I be sure it doesn't happen again.
What does a lifter sound like when it's going bad....?
Nah, I'm gonna stick with what was in it & rebuild it as strong as I can afford too & keep it.
I had planned to have the heads off today but had more big truck problems which slowed me down by about 7 hrs today. But I will get the heads off tomorrow & snap pictures & ask for opinions because I won't know what I'm looking at.
If the heads are ok, here's what I'm thinking:
* Short block with forged rods
* Heads checked & cleaned up (Is porting & polish worth while?)
* ARP studs
* Regulated return line kit
* 6.0 Tranny cooler upgrade
* Spearco or Banks intercooler for towing
* Maybe upgrade to a BB Turbo (if there's any money left)
* '05 front end (buddy owns a body shop & has most of the stuff)
I guess my goal is to end up with a rock solid towing motor. Any other suggestions to acheive that?
