All that with no oil psi and no temperature.... I need that engine!!!
Also where in the world did you find 7% grade in Texas? all the time I spent there never saw more tan 3%.... Cept for maybe coming out of palo duro canyon after the show....
BTW fully recommend catching a show there if anyone is in the area
It’s on I-10 heading north out of San Antonio just outside kerrville. Didn’t get the sign on the video but got a pic on the descent back home
I don’t have those gauges attached to anything in the dash because they are useless to me, got real gauges for that!
Wes was there a reason for pulling the injectors? Sell them already or saving them?
Ive still got the R&D injectors but I pulled them out the first time about 5k miles ago because they were having issues hanging open. Heres a thread I made at the timehttps://www.oilburners.net/threads/r-d-injector-durability-test-results.83544/
I cleaned them and reset the pop pressures but started having issues again, some injectors popped great and others were terrible. I spoke with my fuel guy and he said it was probably not an issue with the nozzles themselves, but an issue with lower quality or reused springs being used, this is just a theory and have nothing that points to it other than the uneven wear. These were some pretty early batch injectors from justin so could be the product has improved since then, the price certainly has gone up.
AHH OK, I was going to offer to buy them if they were in still useable shape. Im not at the point where I want to do injectors yet but wouldn't mind getting a deal if one were to arise. When the time comes I have to research my options. Most likely when I do the billet rails.
not to sounds like a newb.... i have been out of the idi game for a bit, and now getting back into it. but has it been proven that taking out those plugs in the coolant passages in the head help the cooling effect????
With the coolant mod being the only change to my cooling system, I see about a 40* drop in temp pulling the same loads as before
makes you wonder why they put them in there to begin with
It’s to help keep more heat around the cylinders for better emissions in cold climates
Ah ha.. an area I haven't been..
I was pulling your leg on the gauges, I've seen your pillar setup, just wondered if anyone else caught that too.
Haha I caught that, hopefully will have a drop in solution to release to replace those idiot gauges this coming year
wheres the write up for this mod?
