power steering pulley removal

how do you remove the pulley from the pump? is it pressed on or threaded?

It's pressed on. You need a pulley removal tool. Rent it at a parts store. I found at least on my truck that the pump won't come out with the pulley on so I had to remove the pulley first.

dont use a 3 jaw puller, you will be buying a new pulley like i did.

pulley is pressed on,
cant remove the pump without poulling the pulley.
what I usually do is unbolt the ac comp, the pull the bracket with the ps pump out and then pull the pulley.
