So the '93 7.3 idi vac pump pulley is part nbr F3TZ2L487A ---- the '95 pulley has a part nbr
Of F5TZ2L487A -- the pictures look the same but will that pulley work on our idi trucks ?? Haven't found physical measurements yet.

Any ideas guys ?

Yes I believe it does if your running the serpentine belt system. I run a 94 pulley on my 91

92 up should be serp.
My in laws have a 92, my truck has a 94 setup on it. Can't tell the difference between the two pulleys.

95 would be on a powerstroke. @Nero was as your 94 pulley from an idi or powerstroke?

So I think his question is will the powerstroke pump pulley work. I have both engines but I have never compared that between them.

I have some numbers for you but I am kinda questioning whether or not my 97 uses the same pulley as the 95 because mine doesn't even look like my 92.

Before I even put a tape on it the first thing I noticed is that the 97 doesn't have the lip on the front to keep the belt on. The other obvious difference is that the IDI is dished on the back so the pulley kinda goes down over the front of the pump, the 97 sticks out on the back so the pulley is entirely in front of the pump.

As for physical dimensions the diameter of the area the belt rides on is about 4.125" on both, the width is about 1.375" on both (not counting the flared edge on the IDI pulley). They are both .625" shaft, this next one is where things change, the back spacing measured from the front edge is 1" on the IDI and 1.125" on the powerstroke.

Not sure any of this will be of any help. I figured the 94.5 - 97 powerstroke all used the same setup but not certain about that. I guess you could check the part # for the 97 and see if it's the same as the 95 you posted.

I think that something must be different. Two part numbers that are so close and only two years apart.

RDnck -- thank you again for checking and the pictures added up another cold one -- plugged in the '95 and the '97 info into the search thing on rock Auto and one other website -- those model year (95 & 97) trucks both use the same F5TZ2L487A pulley -- I think the '93 version is very close -- think I'll spend $30 to find out for sure

On the older Ford part numbers, the first letter is the decade. F=90, E=80,D=70. The next number is the year. F3 means 93. F5 means 95. They didn't change the part numbers until the part was changed in some way. The 95 and 97 PSD should use the same pulley. The F3 is for 93. The exception may be a half year. Such as the 94.5 PSD getting 95 part numbers. The late 92 serpentine belt set ups may get a 93 part number since 92 was a changeover year for to the serpentine belt, from what I remember.
