Here is a picture that looks to me like I have a head gasket going bad on the drivers side. When truck is running you can see a very little bubble. Also I went to check my coolant level after the truck had been sitting for two hours and it sprayed coolant all over me when I opened the cap slowly. Any thoughts would be great. Sorry could not figure out how to upload picture from my phone

Just a thought, when I thought I had a bad head gasket, by buddy let me borrow his coolant pressure tester. He had me hook up the tester to the radiator, and watch the pressure rise. I was looking for a spike in pressure before the temperature went up. If the pressure went up disproportional to the temperature then exhaust gases may be entering the coolant which could be a bad head gasket.

Also, you could get one of these

they sell a different liquid for diesel.

Good luck

Does it ever puke coolant out of the overflow tank? With the radiator filled up completely If it's below the fill neck on the rad you'll miss bubbles) run the truck and watch for air bubbles (compustion gasses). A used oil analysis can find trace coolant in your oil as well. A compression test can also help. If one cylinder is low, the gasket could be the cause (along with other things).

By the way. Where's the photo?

Heath.
