for a buddies truck. he bought it for 400 bucks with blown motor. found a CL engine for 300 bucks. freshened it up, some paint and installed.

first run(wanted to hear it run before installing it in the truck)

Nice job!

You did what I was supposed to do about a year ago when I got that rebuilt engine for my farm truck: to run the engine before doing any work. I skipped that step and caused me a lot of trouble, time and money.

thanks, i wasnt sure bout the colors he picked, but they look good. the air cleaner says 6.9 diesel on the back of the lid and 420 C.I. on the front edge of it. looked good till the first mud puddle he hit. lol

That color makes it look like the 426 Hemi motors of the middle 60's... Nice looks too.....;Sweet

yea was swingin pretty good. after the first rev i had a buddy hold on also, he grapped the driverside.

the paint was all high temp.
