Pcm need matching vin?

I purchased an e450 missing the pcm. I have a spare at Home can I throw it in to start it or does the vin need to be flashed to it?

i'm getting feedback the vin and PCM needs to go to the dealer reeducation camp.

Ok, are you missing the PCM or the FICM that you were asking about in the other thread? From a discussion the other day, the replacement FICM’s are coming pre-flashed. Plug in and go.

If it’s the PCM, everything has to be flashed together, so all the modules will play together.......

Yes unfortunately it’s missing the pcm. The ficm is there
