oil pressure adapter

with all the talk of gauges and oil pressure adapters, it got me thinking about the oil feed line for the turbo. that line comes down and makes a horizontal bend where it should hook up to where the original sending unit was. just eye balling it, it doesnt look like it will hook up. so...... what adapter am i going to need to hook up the oil supply line when the turbo goes on. is it a ford only piece or can i get it at an auto parts store?

Most of the turbo kits supplied a T or Y shaped adapter, so you can keep your factory gauge hooked up. Most likely the line is bent to match up to one of those.

When I did the one on the Enterprise I went to the hardware store and in the plumbing dept I got all the fittings I needed. Bonus is they sell the same fittings cheaper than your local autoparts store.

ok, so i will have to take the line and sender in the hardware store to get the right sizes.

i just did this a month ago, picked up a t fitting at lowes for a couple bucks to run a mechanical oil pres gauge. its npt threads, but damn it slipped my mind while i was typing what size. i may be wrong but i think it was 1/4 npt for the gauge and the stock oil sender and the (banks) turbo supply line.

actually that sounds about right on the sizes...

i will have to do some checking, but it looks like i will be needing just an elbow. the pressure sender is on top of the turbo cartridge for the factory 93/94 turbo.
