Im thinking of buying a 1986 F250 with the 6.9L, it has 214000 km (133000 miles) on it with a new injector pump and new glow plugs. I went and looked at it today. I did a cold start this morning, it was about +3C (37F) and no bock heater pluged in. How long should it take for the oil pressure to get to the O in normal on the oil pressure gauge ?

Depends on the oil weight and the stock gauge only tells you that you have perssure... Nothing about the letters mean anything at all. My cold oil pressure will be around 60 to 70 lbs... I modified my pressure regulater for this....

Oh ok, I kinda thought it would give me an idea but I guess not, ill go buy a proper gauge. The truck started really well compaired to my 91 7.3L with 116000 km (72000 miles) 3 bad glow plugs and a fuel leak.

What would be a good oil presure when completely warmed up ?

Usually you will see around 15 to 25 lbs on a warm idle. Even 10 lbs is fine. These motors run on volume oil flow. The oil pump puts out 18.2 gpm at 3000 rpm.
