no smoke

i turn a friend of mines pump up on his 93 and i cant get it to blow smoke the pump is wide open and the response is been left alone any ideas

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? How about exhaust, open, muffler, cat?

just changed the filter no more than a hundred miles ago and it has no cat or muffler its open 4inch all the way back it runs like a ***** ape

then i wouldnt worry about smoke. you could always mess with the smoke/response screw if you want it to smoke...but it may hurt the performance.
