I just joined, looked around, searched and could not find what I am looking for. In Feb, I bought a '93 F350 CC 7.3 ZF 4x4 dually, banks equiped.
Since then I have removed the muffler and adde a 4" stack, and also had the pump turned up a bit more.
I bought this truck from Murphysboro Tn, and driving it home, ran it out of fuel even though the gauge still read well over 1/4. When I filled it it only took about 10 gals of fuel(front tank), so its not the gauge. I have had it happen 4 or 5 times, that if the truck gets below 1/2 on the front tank, I can shut it off and it will lose prime, requiring me to switch to the back tank, then maybe get it started, (twice I have got it refired) or have to pull start it(three times already). Is this a fuel pick up in the tank problem, or a fuel switching valve? I have not ran either tank below 1/4 tank because I'm parinoid.
Any thought would be great!
Thanks,
Matthew
