hey guys.. just thought i would drop in and brag for a min. i smoked my tranny about a month ago and finally found somebody local to rebuild it for me with enough guts to handle serious power. they are also gonna put some 530 hybrid injectors in while it's there. the shop told me i should have no problem reaching 450 hp with the stock turbo and fuel system! my next step is gonna be a tank to engine big-line fuel system. any reccomendations? i been lookin and FASS systems, but i would like to find a complete kit to do it all. also, has anyone converted an early 99 turbo to a 99.5? i need to figure this out so i can get everything out of these injectors. i'll be sure to post some before and after dyno numbers to see if these guys are serious or not. also, i guess i should get some pics up now that the truck is presentable and all..

450 hp on the stock turbo huh... i'll be interested to see the results. i know Russ's running 326 hp in his OBS 7.3 and he can over boost it in no time flat. another guy i know goes through turbos faster than i go through fuel filters, trying to make big power.

I'm curious to know how you are going to fasten the parachutes to the heads. Surely you would want an easy landing for them. Let us know just how high they go.

yeah, i figure a head stud kit is in the near future. i'm tryin to work a deal with him now for a turbo upgrade and some other stuff for my 95 PSD. his boy saw pics and now he wants it anyway, thanks for postin guys.. i was starting to think i did somethin wrong

I'm curious to know what you're having done to the tranny. I'm looking into options for beefing mine up before I put it into towing service. All I know about transmissions is that the cooler they run, the better.

not really sure what all he is doing. i know about as much as you do about automatic. i do know that it will have some kind of triple disc clutch and billet shafts. he has a powerstroke running 600 hp on one with no trouble, so i'm not worried. he is also giving me a 2 year unlimited mile warranty so that makes me feel pretty good

ok, just dropped the truck off today. we talked a little about the numbers i should be seeing and he told me with the factory fuel system, i will prolly only get about 350hp. thats his tow program. he is going to program all the hp ranges, but told me not to use them till i get a fuel system that can keep up with these injectors. he also told me that airdog and fass are in the process of re-engineering their pumps and not to buy one until they have worked the bugs out. he said another alternative would be to run 2 stock pumps with larger supply lines. he said this way i have reliable pumps and even if one fails, i still have a pump. have any of you heard of this setup? just wondering if anyone has tried it and how/if it worked.

ok, just got home with the truck about an hour ago. immideate reaction is ! i haven't really had a chance to play with the custom programming, but his tow setting with these injectors is faster than the extreme setting on the ts chip. i got a buddy coming over in a few, then once the wife gets home and we have proper hydration, i'm gonna take the truck out back and give the new injectors a work out. i definitely need a fuel system now.. i managed to make these hybrids dry-heave at about 3/4 throttle on the medium setting. anybody have good advice for pickup lines? i want to upgrade from the tank pickup to the pump first. by then, fass should have their stuff right on the pumps.. or i will have figured out the dual factory pump setup. does anybody know if a gasoline fuel pump will work on diesel? m buddy has an NOS fuel pump i can get cheap. anyway, more updates when i get back from the test run

just noticed a few things.. once i peeled my off the boost gauge (which was pegged at 30psi) i looked at the egts.. bad news! that gauge was also pegged at 1500. now that was diggin in for all she was worth.. on the tow setting. i did, however, leave a new charger sittin in smoke
