Need a new brake booster/master cylinder for my brown truck

Is A1 Cardone a decent brand or should I stay away from them and spend the extra $124 on the Wagner one? Looking for some input.

I had a problem with a cardone power steering pump - they remedied it right away and the customer service was good! I would use them again.

I would use the A1/Cardone over the Wagner one myself for the reason stated above. I had one on my truck since I owned it until earlier this year when I hydroboosted it. I sold it to a guy in Alaska.

I have a new Ford factory master cylinder still in the oem box. The part number is F6TZ-2140-AB... Its the 1 1/4 inch bore. Its not an aftermarket item. It has Ford cast into the housing. Find out what Ford charges for them and I will make youa can't pass up deal.....

I use Cardone all the time. Only time I ever had an issue was with an IDM for a 01 f350. Went through 8 before I bought one from Ford.

Just an FYI/update. I installed my new cardone master/booster over the weekend. After spending an hour trying to bleed it, it was obvious it was no good. So now I get to take it back and try to get my money back.

Oh yea, after installing a good master/booster the proportioning valve wont reset properly and I still kinda have hard brakes with the rears being the ones doing most of the braking. I finally got the brake light to go out most of the time but it still comes on if I hold the brakes for a long time.

Did you bench bleed or try to bleed it mounted in the truck? I have found its almost impossible to bleed some of them mounted and just pumping the pedal. The pedal travel doesn't always fully move the plunger in the master.

Yes I bench bled it. It kept popping on the bench, but it seemed like it had bled okay so I mounted it then it was obvious why it was popping when I tried bleeding the lines out in the truck. It was popping when it would such air into the piston from the booster. So it was definitely bad. All it kept doing was bubbling. I've done many of these installs and have never had a master be bad before like that so I was in denial.
