Interesting, the turbo looks a lot like a Hypermax. The intake using the stock air cleaner is a dead ringer. I seem to remember another guy in Canada had a setup that looked the same. The intake hat is different from Hypermax. Is that a boost reference line coming off the intake hat? Where does it go? I would loose the valve cover to CDR setup and route blowby through a catch can.

Started comp test today

#1 200 /380

Do second time same...go to do cyl 3 phone rings....answer walk away..go deal with some things....come back to one nasty acrid smell as I walk into the shop...*** check all electrical items plugged in nadda...walk towards truck...braaaaaaap starter solenoid starts clicking like a machine gun....

***...as I get closer smell worssens ...remove the grounds and touch the starter its smoking hot..****...somehow either the remote switch got stuck or some of the hokey wiring shorted....**** me off...

So now I have in all likelyhood a toasted starter...oh well all the wiring for gp is almost removed...

Time to stop as is pouring rain...covered the engine and walked away.

Hmph...been over 100 for quite few days...chose to wait it out.

Got starter swapped...grabbed the one from truck that followed me home. Does not spin as qiick as did before. Going to charge batteries and see if that affects it. Otherwise I do have 4 others to work with tested on bench.

Need get this bad boy comped amd re install Beru gps.

Looking at the dogs breackfast of wiring harness I think I can reroute it and clean up the stock turbo one I have. HOWEVER...that main plug is in a different location.....ugh!

Also the relocated gp controler makes for simple repairs etc so might redo the harness that was on truck carefully inspecting all wires and plugs.

Thats bout it...other than trying figure out how to press out some spring Eye bolts on the truck. Think will try my small press frame see if that will work it is an interesting little setup picks to come.

I've had pretty good luck with me ball joint press on those Al. If you can get it to it. I've found that it's usually easier if its at all rusty to just take a thin cutoff wheel up in either side of the inside of the spring hanger and nip the bolts off, drop the spring down by jacking the truck up and press the thing out with the ball joint press. Then air chisel on the metal sleave typically left behind in the spring eye. Plenty of MAP torch action never hurts either to grease the wheels a bit. Sometimes you end up with a tire fire like effect though.

Hey I am cheap ass...trying to ahem press bolts out and not use torch or so forth..rather press the bolt out where its at....thats the goal! I can replace the bolt no worries there..just hoping bushing is OK..

I wish you luck! My typical bad luck has been that either the bolt won't turn to free itself from the inner sleeve or the entire inner sleeve breaks free of the rubber and spins. Impact usually just bounces.

Now near spat coffee out me nose...yes well aware of said issues...and if what I attempt works it will be documented

I know how to remove and press out on bench...goimg try on truck is all for ***** n giggles...saves removing U bolts

With a 10t bottle jack and this lil frame I might be able press bolts through shackles and bushings....if lucky.

See when yer cheap and have determination you find a way to gitter dun

Tbats Ace hardware Safety Blue to you.... close to Miller welder blue..decided paint it...its a tool...then wont get confused as scrap...easier to find too.

Ya I am more or less thinking out loud in print here with the idea.

Be handy for U joints and bj I am hopimg....its only thing can see it used for lol. Mini shop press.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say somebody took parts from hypermax and ATS (intake had) when they put the kit together. Is this really the elusive CTS system???

Looks like a ATS 085 Turbo
with like David said some Hypermax parts.

Yes true CTS Turbo...uses stock Y pipe too..by looks of things. Has a U pipe that turns it back up to the turbo.

No play in it either!!
