Well now that all my parts for my "dually project" are coming together, I think its time to search for tires. I have my heart set on a set of 900r16 Michelin XL's, but there is only one BIG problem!! I cant find anyone who sells them! I have come across alot of the 1100r16's but those are to big for me. The 900r16's measure 36.4 inches and those would be great.

Anyway, does anyone know of a place I could buy these tires from? Maybe someone has some laying around their house? Please help me out guys!!

Thanks Chris

You have to scrounge for them. I got my set off craigslist for $425.

Moreover, mine are the dated 'XS' pattern. I think others may have passed them over because they didn't look like the XL or XZL they may have been expecting.

According to my Google search, these are military tires and are in constrained supply such that none make it to the civilian market. Good luck!

Agreed. I have *never* been able to find them new.

They are a great value used. Where else can you find a re-groovable 3500# rated 35" tire, with a steel belt in the sidewall, that fits on stock wheels (even DRWs)? ;Sweet

Dollar Tire may have stock on used ones...

I think I know what kind of tire your talking about. Can someone post a pic of what they look like. I have a friend who runs a military tire that were designed for hummers, but they went to a wider tire, so the military was stuck with a huge order of these tires so they ended up selling them to the public. They were only like $600 for all 4 of them, which is fricking good considering there a 36" tall tire. Am I thinking of the same tire you guys are talking about?

Your probally thinkin of the Wrangler Humvee tire, which is either a 36x12.5x16.5 or a 37x12.5x16.5. The tires I am looking for are a 9.00r16 Michelin XL. Heres the pics of the 2!
