lifting the rear and factory overload perches

Im looking to add SKYs 6" rear hanger drop brackets. Im currently 2wd so this iwll put me 2" over stock 4x4 height. perfect.

but what does one do about the helper/overload perches? Do I drop them down as well? I still want to haul some gravel with this thing!

with their kit you will need to drop them the same amount.

I would re arch the overload springs and leave the brackets alone. Dropping the brackets seems like it will put more stress on the frame imo.

Why not just get a 6" block and put it between the axle and spring like factory does but with a 4". Then everything stays the same and you have your lift.

Is this a work truck or a toy? Six inch lift and loaded with gravel doesn't make much sense IMO. Why not stick with at stock 4" block and be done with it? The F350 is plenty high as is and apparently axle wrap is not that big of an issue (stock).

If you want six inches and are worried about wrap then put a traction bar on it.

its not a 6inch lift over stock 4x4. It is a 6" lift over stock 2x4.

Which i believe woudl net me 2" over stock 4x4 height.
I dont recall if the 2x4 has a lift block..if it does its a 2" block, and then im 4" over stock 4x4.

Basically my main concern is-i want the rear at least a little bit higher than the front. And i dont know where the front will sit with the 05 coil sprung setup.

And the truck is mainly just a driving truck. Main winter driving vehicle. Occasional drywall, gravel, car trailer towing., some snow wheeling.

For now, i think i will leave the rear alone untill I get the rest of the truck done. Put th efornt and cab back on and measure the angle Im working with. Go from there. But really thinking 6" would be good from its current setup.

can you weld? cut bevel the old under the old holes weld flat sock drill new holes thats what i would do. or if your like my friend leave alone they'll eventually hit lol

I too am thinking that, basically make my own drop hangers for the overloads. Boxed and gusseted like the spring hangers.

From the conversions I've seen. It looks like swapping to the 05+ Coil sprung setup will put the front axle just a hair higher (within an inch or so) than the leaf sprung version.
