Now that you have the diesel version of the Tin Woodsman you might want to follow the waste-oily-brick-road....

destination...the landfill...where you can get lots more waste oil from the convienience center collection site...

Except...the landfill operator is going to send you on a dangerous Fools Errand...to eradicate the competitors...and bring back the Recycling Witch's siphoning hose...

But then what do you use to shift with????
Calm down, he's got both legs... LOL
The floor mat is to keep water out of the air filter, it's actually part of the furniture. The funnel is just set out of the way right there
That's funny, I saw the mat and thought, "why does he... Oh, to keep the water out of the intake." Then I read your post. :Thumbs Up

I hope you don't forget the funnel is there and then close the hood on it...

A few things wil happen...

First...you will dimple your hood and indicate a good spot for a hood scoop...

Second...you will invent the worlds first accordian funnel...and then be able to market it to folks that have their trunk stuffed with so much stuff...that they don't have room for a funnel in its normal state...

Along those lines...that reminded me of something...

I worked at a mechanic shop that gave you (paid you) only twelve minutes to do an oil change on modern cars...and a lot of them had a belly pan you had to R&R to do the job...

I did not work there very long...after the first couple of paychecks...I packed my tools up...

Anyway...this woman's car came in and she needed us to pull the wheels...

So...'Where is the locking lug nut key?' was the next question...

'Uh...idaknow'...was the answer...not in the glove box or in the console, either...ok...gotta look in the trunk...

You know when you 'pop' the trunk...normally the lid comes up an inch...or a fraction...

THIS one practically flew open...from all of the 'stuff' in it...

It looked like her mommy had kicked her out of the house...and planned to rent out her old room...all of the 'stuff' in it was 'stuffed' into the trunk...

I just needed to get the missing lug-nut key...but I had to deal with all of this 'stuff' and ....believe me...it was tough to get it all back in there after I finally found the key...on the bottom of the trunk...

At least I found it...but I did not get paid for the additional hassle...

As a matter of fact...I was getting paid very little for everything I did there...

That was one of the reasons I left that job...I am not going to subsidize someone else's transportation costs...

I gotta make a living just like everybody else...and with the crap a mechanic has to go through to make a living...it better be a fairly decent one...

Sorry, funny how things will remind you of a myriad of other things...

Anyone else have any parallel situations..?

You have to live in a place where you go swimming in your yard from time to time.
In the summer there's days where the humidity is so high that it's comparable to water injection and you can get a little more compression for hot rodding.

Not quite parallel. Yours is WAY worse than what I've seen. I just want to say that, other than the trunk experience, that's the same story almost 95% of the time when dealing with locking lug nuts. I eve know a couple who bought a nice looking 2006-ish F150 with locking lug nuts. She got a flat and they found out that the lock didn't come with the truck. It took a few weeks, but they finally got the truck back home and there's new, non locking lug nuts on it now. I think they even bought new tires for it.

And this is why I can't go down south during anything that even resembles summer time. I could barely handle the humidity here last summer.
Au contraire, Mi Amigo...Mein Freund...
Three languages? Not too shabby.

Where can I get a complimentary floor mat for my air intake??
Yeah, me, too....I am getting the old familiar urge....that I gotta have one...

Great, but...where do I get an official, JF-approved and certified air filter mat..?

I'm trying to upgrade my setup incrementally...and I need some insider info...
