Say what?!?!
I moved my 87 into the garage of the place I moved to, back in September. Shortly thereafter, the mechanical fuel pump on the 93 started spewing fuel everywhere. I took the dura-lift pump from the 87 to use on the 93, instead of replacing the mechanical one.
Without having money to replace the one on the 87, it sat in the garage for 2 months. Why does moving have to be so expensive????? Anyway, since the 87 still had a mechanical FP on it, I decided to see if it still worked. After two days of trying, all I could get it to pump, was a bubbly mess. The railroad I work for, was nice enough to buy me a cheap Facet posi-flow, to get me by until I can put another Dura-lift pump back on it. I installed it yesterday, but still couldn't get the thing started (It may have had something to do, with the fact that I had a summertime "thick"mix of WMO still in the tank)
I siphoned 5 gallons of kerosene in with the WMO and let the fuel pump run for around 45 minutes, to help try to mix it up. I also had the block heater plugged in at the same time.
Next time I tried to start it, it did try to fire off. I waited about 30 seconds and gave it 2 GP cycles. She fired off like nobody's business!
Since it hadn't run in 2 months, it was rough and smoky for a few minutes. Note to self... Ventilate the garage!
I waited about 5 minutes and then backed it out of the garage. It was such a good feeling, to have it moving under it's own power again!
I let it run at fast idle for around 30 minutes, then cut the fast idle off for another 30. Once the fuel started thinning out, she started sounding a lot more like her old self.
I now have the room to get the garage organized the way it needs to be. It was made for a car and I have to pull all the way to the back wall, to get the doors shut. Then I have room to back it up about 3 feet. With the truck in it, I have 2 feet of room on one side and 3 on the other. Doesn't leave me much room for tools, etc. It will be a challenge for me to balance the space I have between working space and tool/shelf space. I am very thankful, just to have an indoor place to work in!
Once I get it organized, I'll be ready to start on the 93's ball joints!

never even heard my IDI run....sure will be an exciting day! 
I use the lazy man version with power.
