I have a 97 F350 I will be installing an intercooler in. I have several OE intercoolers from 99 and up Fords. I have been out of the game for quite a while. Some years back I remember a tubing kit on the market that bolted into an OBS using a 99 and up intercooler. I cannot locate such a kit now. I have seen a few write ups where someone did some simple mods to get the later model tubing to work. But I cannot find what those mods were. What year tubing should I look for? Am I at least on the correct track?

intake y from an early 99
works as a start
when I did my 96 I had a 3" body lift and with some inner fender well trimming I was able to use stock sd tubes and add 3" to them
other option I looked at was using stock Sd tubes and cutting / welding to make work.
one word of caution some SD tube were steel and some aluminum , I found that out the hard way

I would, and do... build my own charging pipe.
can be made out of aluminum, steel, I used stainless steel.
not exactly a OBS, but with a custom job, you can route them cleaner.
