IDI to 4r100 flexplate?

You need to use a four stud converter with a four stud flex plate.

I know the proper fix is to get a 4 stud converter but could one simplify drill out the other 3 holes that hit the flexplate and just put a nut on the one that falls into the voild of the flexplate to keep it balanced?

Or cut off the 4 studs that don’t line up and weld on 2 that do?

I think you're opening a can of worms there. Unless you have a full machine shop and the right equipment to make you're own flexplate and balance everything out you're asking for trouble.

OR just weld all the holes shut grind flat and drill 6 new holes. Will a 4 bolt tc drop into a 4r100? It sucks because the trans i just bought came with an upgraded tc.

I seem to remember ATS was able to make custom transmissions and flex plates. Unfortunately, those would likely cost the same as a billet converter.
