IDI crew for a mini meet at the Hayloft

The summers last hurah.

Been doing some thinking and since there is a good share of the crew up'n this way, was wondering if there would be some interest in a mini-meet/ get together at my place for a Saturday and make a trip down the road for some good ole fashioned ice cream at the Hayloft ice cream parlor in Decatur.
There is plenty of room in the yard for enyone wanting to run a wagon train for the weekend or hit one of the local campgrounds.
Let me know as I will get the info on how late the Hayloft will be open along with the local campgrounds for any who might want to make a weekend and when would be good.

I'm in Saint Helen with a powerstroke.....MIGHT have a 94 IDI soon. I'd be interested in learnin' more about the IDI for sure.........

I will get with the Hayloft crew and see how late in the season that they will be open. If I remeber right, they go into October, but will try for something in September'ish.
I spoke with Darrin today and he's game too as he has had contact with flatlander and was wanting a meet also.
Just gotta get Jim M, Joe P, Tim and a few others to see if they are all game. Might not be too shabby of a get together, and can show Mel that we can give his crew a run for their money.

Ya Kevin it's all good.....even Dr. Goatboy can make his nanny do a few tricks.

Sounds like a good plan and a good time for all! I (We) would definitely interested in the get together but, this time of year "HARVEST" a Sunday would probably work easier for me! Ifin' I can't make it though - I'm sure you all will have a great time and party a litlle harder for me!!!!!

We'll watch for a date and time and see what works out!

Well, all looks good for the 24th of September. They will still be open thru the end of the month and can accomodate a large group of us.

Ike I know what ya mean bout them grains. I'm sure the beans will be close pending on the weather of course but unfortunatly Saturdays are about all I have left any more these days. If'n ya can't make it we can get together sometime anyways being so close.

Can't stay overnight in a campground then but can come visit for the day though... That weekend is Sherman's Birthday (sunday) so we'll have to be home that day... But Saturday is a play day

While out at Walmart tonight I ran into another diesel owner and invited him up to the little get together. I'll be contacting him again to see about getting him up there. Really nice kid - I guess I should not say kid but he's still a senior in high school - Dan has a really beautiful truck and is interested in diesels...

Had a 95 DI parked next to me camping this weekend from Jackson and he was pretty interested in what we do also but had just gone completely thru the 95 and fresh paint as his 84 was too far gone. Wasn't able to make it down but gave him this site to get caught up.

Well,
Trying to get a head count for munchies that afternoon.

Shoot me a pm and I can give ya my address for the trek down and a head count as to the ladies snack committee can get the supplies.

I talked with my dad tonight and he's gonna bring his R-190 International firetruck out for the kiddies along with his 86 6.9L

Itinerary for the day will be snacks and munchies for the early arrivers and just a mingling to catch up on things and show-n-tell.

Then later in the afternoon when all have arrived we'll convoy down the whole 2 miles to the Hayloft for some purdy good eats and icecream.
Pretty much it then back to the ole homestead for those wanting to hang out for a little while pending on the time. Nothing fancy just a simple last of the year mingle.

Hey Dsl!

Don't think were gonna make it after all! Found out on Sun. that their has been a tractor pull added to our schedule for the 24th in Walkerton, IN. late in the afternoon. So I don't think I can get up that way! It's a points pull - So I really do need to try and get there. I'm in the points hunt for No.1 and don't want to lose ground!

Had a decent weekend pulling - We pulled in Baroda on Sat. Not so good!
6th out of seven. (Asphalt Pull)

Pulled Sun. up in South Haven at the Mich. Flywheelers Show - (Dirt Pull)
First Hook - FULL PULL - OUT THE END!!!!!! NO NEED FOR SECOND HOOK - WHEN YA DO IT LIKE THAT THERE!!!!!!!!!

We pull this Sat. in Nappanee, IN. (Dirt Pull) - So I'm a hopin' for a repeat!

Well after considering this today, just due to lack of participants I have decided to call off the meet for next Saturday. It seems that things are pretty busy for everyon right now and will consider having something in the spring and attempt a better turnout.
