Hi folks,
I run an ‘85 Cornbinder with a mechanical DT466. I bought an HX40 turbo because I read on a different forum, that was a more or less bolt-on improvement. The flange and oil lines are going to work fine. The intake boot will need modification / replacement (no biggie), but the exhaust is my problem. The current exhaust housing has a slip-joint deal that connects to the exhaust elbow. The turbo has a groove for a V-band clamp. I’m open to ideas. Has anyone put an HX40 on a mechanical DT466? Thanks all.

Get a matching v-band ring and weld it to the elbow.

I have the same job to do when I eventually switch from an hx35 to an he351cw.
