How to do back brakes??

orrrrrrr---loosen all the lugnuts-----not way loose---just so they arent tight. then,back up,and slam on the brakes HARD. DO THIS A FEW TIMES--BACK AND FORTH. normally will break the drum loose--and if you only back the nuts of a mite--wont hurt rim or nut--ir you take the rim off--and spray some penetrant around the hub to drum contact--and then do the above--it should break free--then you still may have to do what the others said,and back off the adjuster--

I'd still remove the wheels tho, as if you don't you risk damaging the studs - not worth effing up something that wasn't effed up from the beginning and creating more work for yourself. On the other hand if something is already effed up good, by all means do go ahead and eff it up some more - case in point an old co-worker's rear brakes that were so worn the drums had paper-thin walls, them suckers came off with the oxy torch :D
