I'm going to drive the 3hrs to meet up with Dieselcrawler. IMHO, it's a small price to pay for expert help/opinion/experience/advice. But hey, that's just me...

Someone said it sounded to them like my advanced piston was either stuck or not working, and that I need a new pump. Is this a possibility?

Ok I'm on baby duty today, during his nap I adjusted the pump about a frogs hair retarded from where I had it. About a **** hairs width, sorry for the crudeness lol, I won't be able to test it until this afternoon. However, I am getting pretty dang good with the bottom nut. A short 14mm works perfectly for me and pulling the #1 gp wire off to get a better bite.

Update: I took the truck on a 50mile round trip. All in all she runs strong, the only real issue is going up a steep 3 mile long grade, it won't keep 65mph, at the top I was around 55mph. No smoke at start up, the "chatter" is quieted way down. And sitting at idle the truck feels like it's rocking side to side, slightly, I guess it's because it is running advanced. Idle is around 800-900rpm.

I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to pumps. If Macrobb can't answer, I give either Mel (Agnem) or Russ (Typ4) a PM and ask them.
