hood cable

I can not win!
Just broke the hood cable at the handle inside. Where do I get it and how do I change it?

That cable has to b rplaced in one whole piece. I did the same thing on mine. First off try the junk yards for it, then go to ford if you have to. Good luck.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding one at a Jyard as stated there are plenty at least at the ones I go.

cable is easy to install
I got one from the local wrecker for only $5
mine had a visegrip on it when i bought my truck, it was very hard to pull
adjust your hood latch and lube it and your cable should last forever, mine now requires no effort at all to open the hood, it won't break again

I had to replace mine too. You ought to be able to get it off of any F-series or bronco from your year range. Others may work. The vice grips will get you by for awhile if you need to.
