Big Russ (the red truck in my avitar) turned 20 years old this month and officially rolled 450,000 miles over on the odometer. Still running the origional pump and injectors and has never had the pan off the transmission, or the engine for that matter. It even still has the same starter it came from the factory with. Up untill about a year ago when I broke off a glow plug and had to pull a head, the worst thing we'd done to it was change the freon over to R134 when the compressor went out.
The old man told me the other day that it was having some heatsoak issues and is real hard to start after he drives it into town for coffee in the mornings. I told him we probably needed to start looking for a new pump and injectors. His response was that he'd just drink a couple more cups of coffee and let it cool down more.
