Green ORD?

I have this friend... Yeah, friend... He was filling his truck with fuel and noticed the pump said off road. He pulled the nozzle out far enough to see the fuel and it looked green, not the red I have seen. Anyone know what's up with that?

So if dot dipped his tank it would or would not pass?

Not pass. Here they add a chemical with the dye. The chemical changes the strip regardless of diesel color.

Essentially you can dump 5 gal of atf in your tank, your fuel would be red but ir would pass.

Road crews get dipped randomly for using ord in their personal trucks.

Thought I'd update in case anyone's interested. I went by that station today, the sign on the pump said off road was available at their other station, so it was not ORD.
